Summer Service Schedule Change 9/12/2010
Beginning September 12th, the morning services will be as follows:
8:00-9:15am First Worship Service
9:30-10:30am Sunday School
10:45-12:00am Second Worship Service
Adventurers 9/1/2010
Adventurers is starting their new year next Wednesday, September 1st. All children and youth, ages 3-18, are welcome and encouraged to attend.
Adventurers Introduction Night 9/1/2010
Next Wednesday night, the Adventurers Ministry will host an Introduction Night for all students 7th—12th grade and their parents. It is our desire to inform the students and parents of our goals for the youth as we teach and disciple them this year in Adventurers. The Introduction Night will be held in the Fellowship Hall on September 1st, starting at 7:00pm. We look forward to seeing you then.
Seniors Retreat and Campout 9/3-5/2010
The Senior Retreat & Campout will be held September 3rd-5th, at Glorieta Conference Center. Saturday evening music will be provided by the Young at Heart Quartet. Sunday morning will include a time of worship and teaching from God’s Word. There is additional information and a sign up sheet at the foyer table. If you have questions or would like more information, please call Ron or Carrol James or the church office at 323-0557. Payments must be received by August 30th.
Discern Conference 9/10-12/2010
The College and Career group and others who are interested are invited to attend the Discern Conference in Santa Fe, September 10th-12th. Speakers include James White and Ron Rhodes. Please contact Tina Winborn this week for information regarding this conference.
Adult Bible Class 9/12/2010
Make plans to join us Sunday mornings beginning September 12th, at 9:30am for the Adult Bible Class taught by Pastor Shaan Sloan. We will study the book of 2 Thessalonians and will cover the following topics:
The Second Coming of Christ
The Anti-Christ and His Demise
Practical Instruction for the Health of the Church
Newcomer's Luncheon 9/12/2010
If you are new to Heritage and have not attended a Newcomer’s Luncheon, we encourage you to join us for lunch Sunday, September 12th, immediately following the second morning service. We would like to take this opportunity to get to know you, let you get to know us, and answer any questions you may have. If you are interested in attending, please sign up at the foyer table or call the church office at 323-0557 by September 9th.
Foundations 9/15/2010
Heritage is offering a 13 week training course on what it means to be a disciple of Christ and the Gospel. This course will be offered on Wednesday evenings at Heritage beginning September 15th. If you are interested, please sign up on the table in the foyer!
Women's Ministry Annual Retreat 9/17-19/2010
Sunday is the last day to sign up for the Women’s Ministry Annual Retreat. All registration forms and payments need to be turned in to one of the council members today. The retreat will be held September 17th-19th. Pastor Brandon, Pastor Shaan, and Carol Ruvolo will be teaching. If you have any questions, please contact one of the council members.
Missions Meeting 9/19/2010
Come see what HCF Missions is all about. We are excited about what God is doing and invite you to make plans to join us at our next Missions Meeting on Sunday, September 19th, from 6:00-8:00pm. We will begin with a pot-providence dinner; please bring a dish to share. We will present a new missionary to an unreached people group in Cameroon that we will be supporting and inform you about our upcoming Missions Conference in November and how you can be involved. Everyone is welcome and encouraged to attend.
Women's Bible Study 9/22/2010
Heritage Christian Fellowship is offering a Systematic Theology class for women beginning September 22nd. The class, taught by Carol Ruvolo, will be held at Heritage on Wednesdays from noon-1:30pm. If interested, pick up a flyer at the foyer table and contact Carol Ruvolo.
"Date Night with Pastor Rich and Suzy" 9/25/2010
There will be a couple’s fellowship on Saturday, September 25th, at 5:30pm, at the home of Pastor Rich and Suzy. We will have a pot-providence dinner and a time of games and fellowship. We will let you know what to bring so watch for more details to come. Childcare will not be provided; please sign up at the foyer table if you plan to attend.
Crown Financial 9/2010
In September of 2010 we will begin an 11 week biblical financial study from Crown Financial Ministry. For more information on this study, please see the flyer on the foyer table.
Home Fellowships 9/2010
HCF Home Fellowships will begin in September. Through the Home Fellowship Ministry, we strive to glorify God by providing an opportunity to grow spiritually through Bible study, worship, fellowship, encouragement, and accountability. Home fellowships provide a place to develop Christian friendships through interaction, prayer, and activities. This year will start with an open sign up which means that everyone will need to sign up to be in a home fellowship even if they have been in a particular home fellowship in the past. We want to give everyone the opportunity to see what is being offered so they can choose the fellowship that would be the right for them. Please visit the table in the church foyer for more information and to sign up. If you have questions about home fellowships, contact Terry Thomas.
